Snow? Horrible, wet, cold, dangerous?

These are often words thrown around in relation to the snow, however I persoanly am of the opinion snow is fantastic! So I made it my task to find some other likeminded citzens
On my quest to find snow lovers I was feeling quite tired, upset and cold no-one shared the same views as me! So I entered a small cafĂ© in search of some caffeine therapy and found two : self-titled grannies with a refreshing view of the snow. As I asked their opinions of the snow the usual grumblings of ice and coldness followed, then 58 year old Deborah enlightened me of a recent trip the two had been on. “We belong to a walking club you see, and they dropped us off in Beverly for a lovely walk in the snow.” She then began to talk of the beauty behind the snow and how the icicles and white trees were a refreshing, clean looking change from the usual dooms and glooms of winter walking. Pauline, 56 then began to tell me that despite her age the snow hadn’t topped her going about her usual bust lifestyle, and in fact she had quite enjoyed it! From going sledging with her grandchildren to sitting round a cosy fire drinking hot chocolate with her family.
As I continued my search, I found Mike; yet another slightly more mature man with a more positive view on the snow. He explained to me that due to the lack of grit on the roads, he hadn’t been able to take his car out. Thus forcing him to cycle to work, although Mike did complain of the cold a little he informed me of how since he began biking he is feeling much healthier and more alive, despite a tad chilly.
Feeling quite positive about the snow by this point I stopped a jolly looking band playing outside of Hull’s shopping centre, Princess Quay still with smiles on their faces. I attempted to stop them playing to ask them a few questions but this was proving difficult as they couldn’t hear a word I was saying! Instead they invited me to come stand with them for a little while and posed for a photograph, I took this to mean that they enjoyed the snow to!
